Cara Williams lived in California, Florida, and Colorado before moving back to her home town of Scituate. Working in the restaurant business since she was 18, Cara has held many positions from hosting, bartending, waitressing, and management.

She met her future husband, Brett, when they worked at Riva. Cara would soon join Brett on one of his trips to Italy. The two traveled by car touring the Italian country side and the enchanting city of Verona where Brett proposed.

Soon after returning from Italy they realized the time was right to become owners of their own restaurant, and Brett had kept Orta in mind all those years. When the couple found out that Jimmy Burke was selling Orta, they jumped at their chance. With their combined restaurant expertise, Brett and Cara became the new owners of Orta in June 2012.
